Dr. Hamilton has had a longstanding ambition of delivering the highest quality of surgical care for patients with skin cancer. After completing medical school at Western University in London, he pursued a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He then went on to complete a Masters degree in Skin Cancer Management through the University of Queensland in Australia. Dr. Hamilton has since established a unique practice in Peterborough that focuses on skin cancer surgery and reconstruction.

He has treated over 40,000 skin cancers since moving to the region, and remains focused on putting every patient at ease during their treatment. He has served as director of a Skin Cancer Surgery & Reconstructive training fellowship program through Queen’s University, and routinely mentors new surgeons. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, the Canadian Association of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

When outside the operating room, he can be found with his wife Shannon raising their four busy and fabulous kids.
